Overview
The Pre-K Teacher is comfortable teaching material from Pre-K to 1st grade. The Pre-K teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of gifted 4- and 5-year-old students as they prepare for kindergarten.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction that aligns with state standards and early learning frameworks.
Foster a classroom environment that supports early literacy, numeracy, language development, social skills, and self-regulation.
Create and maintain a structured daily schedule with a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, learning styles, and developmental levels of all students.
Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support student development and school community that aligns with the values and mission of the school.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance, assessments, and anecdotal notes.
Implement and uphold school policies and procedures for safety, behavior management, and health standards.
Participate in professional development sessions, faculty meetings, and school events as required.
Collaborate with the Student Support Team to meet student needs.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or equivalent education and courses in education and child development.
Two years of experience teaching Pre-K, TK, or Early Childhood Education.
Minimum 12 units of Early Childhood Education
Experience with team teaching is desirable.
Compensation
Pay range: $37.02/hour - $43.27/hour
