About Good Shepherd Episcopal School (GSES)
Founded in 1971 and accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools, GSES serves students in preschool through 8th grade. Providing true educational choice in the Greater Richmond area, GSES delivers an individualized approach to education, combining a leveled learning environment with a nurturing community. Grounded in integrity, honesty, accountability, and a commitment to one another’s success, GSES students are supported in the development of a moral compass. The academic program includes instruction in the core academic subjects as well as music, art, Spanish, physical education, and library.
GSES is nestled in the Forest Hill community of Richmond, less than two short blocks away from Forest Hill Park and its lake and grounds. Richmond itself offers varied and notable historic, cultural, dining, and entertainment venues.
