Saddle River Day School, a close community of learners, is looking for a full-time Pre-K3 Teaching Assistant to join our Lower School team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the lead classroom teacher and members of the Lower School team to support the emotional, physical, and academic growth of young learners
Assist lead teachers with daily classroom routines, classroom management and lesson implementation
Support students during whole-group, small-group, and individual activities
Help foster a warm, inclusive classroom community where each child feels valued and known
Supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, rest time, and other daily activities
Collaborate with classroom teachers, Special Area teachers, and specialists to support the needs of all learners
Communicate professionally and positively with colleagues and families, as appropriate
Remain flexible and responsive to the changing needs of young children and the school day
Qualifications:
Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
Have experience working with children in an early childhood, preschool, and/or elementary setting (other relevant experiences will be considered)
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $30,000 to $32,000 (final compensation will be determined based on experience and education)
