Saddle River Day School, a close community of learners, is looking for a full-time Pre-K3 Teaching Assistant to join our Lower School team for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are seeking a team member who possesses a growth mindset and who can form dynamic relationships with students as well as colleagues based on positivity and collegiality.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the lead classroom teacher and members of the Lower School team to support the emotional, physical, and academic growth of young learners
• Assist lead teachers with daily classroom routines, classroom management and lesson implementation
• Support students during whole-group, small-group, and individual activities
• Help foster a warm, inclusive classroom community where each child feels valued and known
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, rest time, and other daily activities
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, Special Area teachers, and specialists to support the needs of all learners
• Communicate professionally and positively with colleagues and families, as appropriate
• Remain flexible and responsive to the changing needs of young children and the school day 

Qualifications: 

• Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
• Have experience working with children in an early childhood, preschool, and/or elementary setting (other relevant experiences will be considered)

Compensation and Benefits: 

• Salary Range: $30,000 to $32,000 (final compensation will be determined based on experience and education)
