Supervises and monitors children at all times; responds appropriately to crisis or emergency situations that may occur Uses a curriculum framework and curriculum tools that provide opportunities for each child to meet learning expectations that prepare children for success in school Develops and implements age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum Establishes a daily routine that included time for small and large group activities, encourages creative expression, and incorporates health and nutrition development, as part of a daily activities Creates a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Assesses student progress and modifying instruction to meet individual needs Collaborates with other teaches, staff members, and families to support student learning and well-being Maintains accurate records of student's attendance, progress, and behavior Fosters positive relationship with students, families, and the community - Models appropriate and respectful behavior to the children and fellow staff
- Supports children's social and emotional development through positive child guidance approaches and the development of positive relationships in the classroom.
- Has parent conferences with each child's parent(s) to partner in learning goals, develops coordinated learning support strategies, and involves the parent(s) in the child's preschool experience
- Establishes and maintains confidential, accurate and timely information on each child's development and program participation
- Incorporates parenting training and parent leadership in program activities
- Provides helpful feedback to parents and guardians on a regular or as-needed basis
- Uses video communication systems and classroom video recordings for inter-site communication, professional development
- Participates in annual program self-assessment and use information in ongoing program improvement
- Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Education | Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related discipline. Bachelor Preferred |
Minimum Experience | Three (3) years' experience as a childcare/daycare teacher |
Licenses/Certifications | Eligible for Child Development Director Permit First Aid/CPR (may be obtained after employment) |
