In an inquiry and play-based learning environment, the PreK 4 Early Learning Long Term Substitute teacher plans, organizes, and implements developmentally appropriate learning experiences based on a deep understanding of child development and foundational practices. Early Learning teachers advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment built on community.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Further the Mission and Vision of the school.
Collaborate with the PreK 4 team and instructional coaches to develop curriculum aligned with Galloways Learning standards.
Plans, prepares and delivers lesson plans and instructional materials and experiences that facilitate active and meaningful learning
Encourages and monitors individual student progress and uses information to adjust teaching strategies
Maintains accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development
Actively participates in professional development, curriculum development, and class, grade, and level meetings
Effectively communicates necessary information regarding students’ progress to students, colleagues, and parents
Participates responsibly in regularly assigned duties including, but not limited to carpool, playground, and orderliness of shared areas
Other duties as assigned.
