Head Start Teacher
As a Head Start Teacher, you ensure an age-appropriate environment that allows each child to learn at their own level. While ensuring compliance with state licensing and performance standards, you implement the curriculum, prepare lessons, and provide supporting activities or field trips. Every student is unique, so you collaborate with other specialists to ensure individualization according to each student's academic, social, and emotional needs. As an involved teacher, you hold parent-teacher conferences, participate in-home visits, and attend monthly parent meetings. You recruit income- and age-eligible children as needed.
