As a Home-Based Educator, you will be responsible for providing weekly home visits of a minimum of 1 ½ hours per family for a caseload of up to twelve families with prenatal to five-year-old children, and conducting Family Play Day experiences as designated by the Program. Duties include assisting families in developing a comprehensive approach to school readiness. This position fosters parent/child relationships and recognizes that the parent is the child’s primary teacher and advocate.
Position requires a preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential within two years of hire- Lakes and Pines provides training opportunities to obtain this
Less than one year of experience
Experience working with children ages 0-5
Must have reliable transportation
Must have valid driver’s license and current auto insurance coverage in compliance with Minnesota State guidelines on the vehicle used for work related travel
Ability to effectively work across differences, especially socio-economic and cultural differences
