Gifft Hill School, nestled in the picturesque St. John, US Virgin Islands, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant for our Early Learning Center. Our school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where young learners aged 2-5 can flourish, catering to various learning styles and readiness levels while instilling a passion for discovery, respect, and personal accountability. The teaching assistant assists the lead teacher in implementing an experientially-based curriculum, fostering a positive and proactive classroom environment, and ensuring appropriate supervision of students. Candidates should demonstrate a collaborative spirit and enjoy engaging with both students and colleagues. Experience working with children in a group setting is preferred, and a willingness to learn and adapt is essential. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are in the process of gaining a child development associate certification and/or who want to gain experience that will prepare them to assume lead teaching duties in the future.
