Washington Episcopal School in Bethesda, Maryland, is accepting applications for a joyful, energetic, and reflective Associate Teacher in Early Childhood for the 2026-2027 school year.
The ideal candidate for the Early Childhood Associate Teaching position should be passionate about working with young children, possess a foundational understanding of child development, and be patient and nurturing.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
A high level of energy and initiative
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
Assist in designing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities
Support the lead teacher in assessing and documenting children’s progress
Attend weekly grade-level meetings with the Early Childhood Director, Learning Specialist, and School Counselor
Attend and participate in faculty meetings and department meetings
Engage in reflective practice and professional learning opportunities to grow as an early childhood educator.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $45,000 - $60,000
