The Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience, under the direction of Charles A. Nelson, Ph.D., seek a part-time temp for a project examining children's early cognitive development. The Bangladesh Early Adversity Neuroimaging (BEAN) Project examines how early adversities affect young children's attention, cognitive, and language outcomes. For more information on BEAN, please visit https://www.lcn-bean.org/ The temp will gain knowledge and skills to code and analyze complex parent-child interactions and use various datasets to explore sources of variation in early childhood development.
Assignment will run from December 1, 2021 - August 31, 2022.
Coding videotaped parent-child interactions
Analyzing data collected through surveys, neuroimaging tasks, and behavioral assessments
Can work remotely or in person (office space is available in our Brookline lab).
Native/bilingual speaker in Bengali
High school diploma/GED. A B.A. or B.S. in linguistics, psychology, human development, or a related field is desirable but not required.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about child development. Commitment for 15-20 hours/week
