Position Description
Director of Neuromodulation Clinical Services
The Department is seeking candidates for one full-time faculty position at the rank of Clinical Associate or Clinical Professor by reason of funding to serve as the Director of Neuromodulation Clinical Services. Clinical Associate and Clinical Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date for this position is Winter 2023-Spring 2024. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research/scholarship, and service.
This leadership position will afford the opportunity to develop and oversee neuromodulation clinical and training programs at our new Behavioral Health Teaching Facility. The Neuromodulation Center will open in 2024 and feature co-located ECT and TMS services, a training site for the largest psychiatry residency program in the United States, and opportunities for clinical research. The Neuromodulation Director will see patients alongside residents and medical students. They will train faculty who want to get certified in ECT. They will contribute to didactics on neuromodulation and help develop a proposed Interventional Psychiatry fellowship.

UWMC Center for Behavioral Health and Learning
The University of Washington Medical Center, with funding from the Washington State Legislature, is building a Center for Behavioral Health and Learning that will open in early 2024. This facility will house a Center for Neuromodulation that will serve both inpatients and outpatients. The Center for Neuromodulation will allow for multiple ECT teams, multiple TMS machines, and clinical space for use in innovative neuromodulation and therapeutics research. In addition, the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning will have 100 psychiatry beds, 50 Med/Surg beds, and a psychiatry observation unit. This facility will afford an opportunity to develop a new, cross-disciplinary program to evaluate and implement novel mental health treatment modalities. There will also opportunities to mentor and develop interprofessional personal with regards to technology and research, as well as to develop training programs on the use of emerging clinical interventions.

Salary
The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The base salary range for a Clinical Associate Professor position will be $18,000 - $21,000 per month ($216,000 - $252,000 annually).
The base salary range for a Clinical Professor position will be $20,000 - $25,000 per month ($240,000 - $300,000 annually).
Other compensation associated with this position may include temporary salary supplement, administrative salary supplement (ADS) and/or incentive through UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan.

Qualifications
- An MD or DO or foreign equivalent, current medical licensure, and eligibility for a Washington State medical license.
- In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
