The University of Minnesota (U of MN) Department of Pediatrics, seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our world-class Division of Clinical Behavioral Neuroscience as a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (tenure, academic, or master-clinician track, commensurate with candidate experience).
Position Highlights:
Join a vibrant and interprofessional community housed in the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain (MIDB). This 10-acre facility, located on the beautiful east bank of the Mississippi River, opened in 2021 to bring together experts across disciplinary and community boundaries. MIDB's mission is to advance brain health from the earliest stages of development and support the journey of individuals with developmental-behavioral disorders and neurodevelopmental disabilities as valued members of the community.
Provide outpatient-only clinical service in multidisciplinary clinics based on candidate interest, including programs in Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Fragile X, Birth to 3 and Early Childhood Mental Health, NICU Follow-up, Adoption Medicine and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, and many more.
Interprofessional teaching opportunities with Pediatrics and Med-Peds residents, DBP fellows, psychology fellows, LEND fellows, and community members; the division's research portfolio includes nationally recognized scholarship across the educational continuum.
Research opportunities with internationally renowned collaborators, with outstanding intramural funding and career development opportunities (in 2022 the University earned $341M in NIH funding, ranked 8th among national public medical schools and 21st overall; the Department of Pediatrics ranked 12th). MIDB research hubs empower cutting-edge cross-disciplinary work and share advanced resources in translational neuroscience, teleoutreach, community-engaged research and education, health informatics, neuromodulation, psychophysiological and anthropometric measurement and phenotyping, analytics; and the on-site Center for Neurobehavioral Development's Clinical Research Center.
Program Highlights:
The division includes 4 DBPs among more than 25 faculty providing care across the entire spectrum of pediatric psychology, pediatric neuropsychology, and autism and developmental disorder.
On-site clinical resources include psychometry, therapy, RN and social work care coordination, Child and Family Life and therapy dog services, phlebotomy, Neurology, and Psychiatry

About the Department:
The mission of the U of MN Department of Pediatrics is to improve the lives of children in our community, nation, and world through research, service, education, and advocacy. It includes at least 25 educational training programs across specialties and professions; a prestigious pediatric research enterprise with over 100 years of breakthroughs that are highly relevant to DBP including the first pediatric blood and marrow transplant and the first cochlear implant; and patient care that embraces teamwork and respectfully addresses the physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of children and their families with innovation, compassion, and quality that is consistently recognized nationally.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics fellowship training program and Pediatric residency training program.
- Board eligible/certified with the ABP in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and General Pediatrics..
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
