This position will work in the NDCDC, with children Birth-Five, as full-time support staff to the director.
This position will assist the NDCDC Director who is responsible for maintaining accreditation and licensure of the program according to the Division of Child Development and Early Education guidelines.
In the absence of the director, the incumbent will assume responsibility for the center in meeting these standards. Supervise part-time federal work-study students housed at the NDCDC. Coordinate student practicum placements and observations. Support director with parent inquiry and questions.
Maintain relationships with university faculty and staff. Support director with state licensing and sanitation inspections.
Contact vendors, clients, and service recipients to obtain information for the operation of the facility.
Assess and resolve unprecedented problems based on Director's delegation.
Assist the director with tuition collection and documentation.
Assist the director with the budget, and day to day operations of the budget.
Contingent on availability of funding.

Organizational Unit Overview:
The position will be housed in the Department of Human Development and Family Science and with the Nancy Darden Child Development Center (NDCDC) . The NDCDC is the early childhood educational program operated by the department. It provides early education and care to preschool children ages 12 weeks through 5 years. Departmental undergraduate students' complete practicums and internships in the NDCDC. The position will report to the Director of the NDCDC who reports to the Department Chair.
