The Child and Family Studies Department at Berea College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position. Candidates should have earned a doctorate or masters/ABD in child development, human development, or a closely related discipline. Expertise in early childhood development, early childhood special education or exceptional children, ability to adapt and teach a variety of courses related to human development, and experience with active learning methodology and implementation is preferred. The successful candidate will also show evidence of teaching effectiveness, particularly in courses related to child development, experience working with children in the context of families and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
