Immediate full time position for a Medical Social Consultant (Child Life Specialist) through Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.  This position will be providing support to St. John’s Children’s Hospital. The purpose of this position is to provide social service, education and support to infants, children, adolescents and their families due to chronic or acute illness, treatment and recovery.  Primary purpose is to provide optimal developmental and psychosocial care and interventions to decrease the negative impacts of hospitalization.  Minimum qualifications for this position include a Master’s Degree in Child Life, Education, Child Development, Child Psychology, or Family Life and certification as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or eligible for certification thro
