Program Consultant | HEALTH PROGRAM SPECIALIST II
This position is with the California Home Visiting Program (CHVP) in the Child and Adolescent Health (CAH) Branch in the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Division. The CHVP aims to promote positive parenting and child development through evidence-based and evidence-informed home visiting models. Supported by decades of research, home visits by a trained professional during pregnancy and in the first few years of life improve the lives of children and families by preventing child abuse and neglect, supporting positive parenting, improving maternal and child health, and promoting child development and school readiness. Giving children a solid start in their first few years of life increases the opportunity for them to have a brighter and more prosperous future.
