Purpose:The School Counselor - Social Worker - School Psychologist (Counselor) plays an integral role in the instructional program by working with students, providing high-quality social-emotional therapy that meets the needs of each child on his/her caseload. Close collaboration with colleagues ensures that the ‘team’ approach vital to each child’s success at Eagle Hill is supported. Therapy Responsibilities:
The Counselor is responsible for providing school-based therapy during the academic day and is available for consultation with classroom teachers, Educational Advisors, or other members of the Eagle Hill community.
Serve as a member of the Integrated Services Team supporting the social and emotional needs and general well-being of all students.
Other Professional Responsibilities:
Provide group and individual counseling for students using research-based techniques.
Consult and communicate with teachers and parents, attend staff meetings, and complete progress reports.
Working knowledge of child development and language-based learning differences.
Build positive relationships and collaborate with students, parents, and faculty to foster a supportive learning environment.
Adapt counseling techniques to support different student learning profiles, while aligning with the school's mission.
Participate in staff development provided by the school, assist the Integrated Services Team in developing and presenting professional development sessions, and seek additional professional growth activities (courses, conferences, presentations) offered in other professional settings.
Prioritize and manage time effectively and balance the various demands of the position, including extracurricular requirements as required by the School.
Responsible for developing and implementing classroom-based social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons.

Expected Credentials:
Possession of a license as a Psychologist, School Social Worker, certification as a School Counselor, or other appropriate clinical licensure as determined by the Head of School.
Bachelor's and Master's Degrees with at least one in the field of psychology, social work, counseling, or other appropriate clinical field as determined by the Head of School.
