What You'll Do:
As a Beginning School teacher, you'll play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues to build a classroom that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth:
Inspire a Love of Learning: Foster a love of learning through play-based and developmentally appropriate instruction
Create a Nurturing Environment: Support young children in developing cognitive, motor, and social-emotional skills
Encourage Growth: Help students build independence, confidence, and foundational academic abilities
Foster a Strong Classroom Community: Promote kindness, respect, and collaboration among students while building meaningful relationships with families
Engage in Professional Excellence: Collaborate with the Beginning School team and Beginning School leadership to design engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate is not just a teacher but a mentor and guide who provides a warm and enriching learning environment:
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
Nevada Child Care Licensing
Experience working with young learners in an early childhood, preschool or Kindergarten setting
A passion for play-based and inquiry-driven learning approaches
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Proficiency with technology tools and interactive learning platforms
A commitment to fostering a nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment
The Meadows School offers a robust benefits package that includes:
Medical, Dental & Vision – Medical & Dental coverage for employee only, at no cost to the employee. Spouse and family coverage available at TMS group rates
Life Insurance – $45,000 policy for each employee at no cost
Disability – Long term disability for each employee at no cost after one year of full-time service
12 Week School Paid Child Care Leave for the birth or adoption of a child
6 Week School Paid Medical Leave after one year of full-time service
Section 125 plan – all spouse or family premiums allowed on a pre-tax basis. Also, employee may choose to purchase additional coverage through Colonial Insurance at TMS group rates
Retirement – In our non-contributory plan, TMS contributes 8% of employee base salary amount monthly. Employee is fully vested and has 100% ownership of all contributions. Additional employee contributions are allowed but not required. (Percentage of base salary increases to 9% after 7 yrs of service and 10% after 12 years of service)
Employees are offered complimentary breakfast & lunch in our commissary
Tuition Remission – children of employees receive 50% tuition remission, including being eligible to apply for need based financial aid
