Summary:

Provides a variety of specialized services in support of the Newborn Follow Up Clinic. Responsible for coordinating the patient check in/out process and/or administering certain clinical and patient services and for performing administrative duties in support of physician staff and operations. Communicates and performs patient follow-up as necessary. May perform other clerical duties related to patient care

Responsible for scheduling appointments for Newborn Follow Up clinics. Reschedules missed appointments. Completes reminder/confirmation calls. Ensures appointment reminders are successfully sent. Verifies clinic schedule and fills any open appointment slots. Assists with No Show process.

Provides back-up support for Clinical Program Coordinator II. Completes Medicaid referrals and authorizations. Requests outside documents such as Medicaid referrals/authorizations and NICU discharge summaries. Follows up on requests and scans into patient record. Answers multiple phone lines, listens to/clears voice mails, routes incoming calls to appropriate staff and enters patient calls into Epic. Responsible for checking OnBase. Reviews RightFax and incoming faxes. Scans appropriate documentation into patient charts. Transcribes orders into Epic.

Works with clinical staff, registration and triage staff and other office staff as needed as well as outside facilities to obtain medical record documents. Coordinates after care and follow up (return appointments) as directed by providers. Assists with patient flow throughout clinic visit; check-in/check out, answering phone and door, welcomes families into clinic, updates clinic tracker board, assists patients with CHADIS screens on 1Pads, enters CHADIS results into patient note, provides Reach Out and Read books to patients, prints After Visit Summaries at patient discharge, scans clinic documents into patient chart.

Ensures the patient's family receives CHADIS pre-visit questionnaires, new patient paperwork, MyChart, and other documentation needed for a successful visit. Assists families with resources/services for patients with autism.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
