Standard Work Hours: Teacher work day plus evenings and other times needed to accommodate parent meetings, workshops, and special responsibilities.

Position Summary:
The School Psychologist will serve Friend’s Academy Pre-S- grade 12 student population. As a valuable member of the Student Success Team, the School Counselor works collaboratively with our K 12 Psychologist, parents, deans, teachers, and administrators to promote the cognitive, social, behavioral, and emotional development of all students. Areas of responsibility will include: consultation, assessment, evaluation, counseling, intervention, parent education and instruction.

Essential Responsibilities: Duties can change and others may be assigned.
Serve as a critical member of each division’s Student Success Teams.
Provide consultation services as requested by school personnel, parents/guardians, and school administrators to support student development and well-being.
Participate in CSE meetings as needed.
Provide individual and/or group counseling, behavior modification techniques, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution services.
Serve as a liaison between school personnel and related service providers.
Create and maintain thorough and timely reports, data, and other related records.
Function as a case manager for all referred students.
Create and implement parent education and partnership events related to student life growth and social-emotional progress as needed.
Performs other duties and responsibilities, including teaching, as needed.
Education & Qualifications:
Master’s degree in School Psychology, Counseling, or related field, is required
Relevant years of experience in counseling and student life is required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to use technology effectively
Deep knowledge of child development, learning differences, resources, and current trends in the field
Child-centered, collegial, passionate, and innovative
Experience working in an independent school setting as a teacher and/or counselor
Alignment with the school’s Quaker Mission and values
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with regard to students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
Professional, collaborative, organized, and deeply committed to process

Salary/Wage: Salary Range $80,000-$100,000. Salary offers are based on factors that include years of experience, training/skills, internal peer equity, market, and other organizational considerations. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
