Antilles School is seeking dynamic and talented substitute teachers to join a committed team of educators in a collaborative environment that places a high value on educating the whole child. Ideal candidates are passionate and self-motivated professionals, prepared to teach and nurture young children and support a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and ages. An understanding of and a commitment to, a culturally and ethnically diverse population is essential.
Responsibilities include maintaining a child-friendly classroom and age-appropriate routines to teach the core subjects of Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar, Math, Science, and Social Studies using provided lesson plans. Character development and the social emotional development of each child are as equally important as their academic development. Collaboration with peers and a positive work ethic are expected. Substitute teachers need to be flexible and willing to help out as needed in other areas and classrooms.
