RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, and Children’s Specialized Hospital are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Psychiatrist for full-time employment in New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated health care provider who is passionate about academics, education, and/or research. The ideal candidate will join a well-established team of 5 full-time physicians and 1 advanced practice nurse, in addition to a robust support staff.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of child psychological development from infancy to adulthood required (birth – 21 years).
Experience with neurological disorders
PsyD or a PhD in Psychology
EPPP Certified
Two years of supervised clinical experience in Psychology
NJ licensed or eligible for NJ licensure
In support of our academic endeavors, this position focuses on management of high-risk populations, especially children and adolescents with co-existing headache disorders, head injury, epilepsy, and neuro-immunological diseases, and includes participation in specialty clinics. The ideal candidate will participate in the educational needs for the department and collaborate on division research projects.

The Department of Pediatrics has a full complement of pediatric medical subspecialists who actively collaborate with pediatric surgical specialists in clinical care and academic endeavors. In the department are 124 physicians and basic scientists who conduct collaborative research with an emphasis on mechanisms of disease, novel therapies, epidemiology and/or outcomes research in the areas of relevance to childhood diseases. Our centers of excellence include The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, Child Health Sciences, and the Institute for the Study of Child Development.
