The Special Education Coordinator acts as direct administrator of special education services for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, promoting the integration of these programs in County and District schools in the community and providing the effective transition of these children to preschool and elementary-level educational programs. Under general direction, employees in this classification make decisions of significant impact or consequence, using initiative and resourcefulness in interpreting established policies, goals and objectives. Employees in this classification assign, coordinate, supervise and formally evaluate the work of others.
