The Behavior Specialist will support child care programs to use individualized evidence-based practices to support the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of children with challenging behavior to prevent the use of exclusionary practices.
Job responsibilities include:
Collect and maintain data on all aspects of service delivery according to project guidelines to document provisions of services to providers, children, and families.
Provide professional development and promote awareness of the use of evidence-based strategies to prevent the use of exclusionary discipline practices.
Collaborate and coordinate with the Pyramid Model State Leadership team and other entities engaged in work to support social and emotional learning across the early childhood mixed delivery system specifically related to Tier 3 supports.
Conduct Functional Assessment of Behavior and develop Behavior Intervention Plans in collaboration with child care providers and families and and follow-up consultation to assist child care providers with implementation of the Behavior Intervention Plan in the classroom.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree and 2 years related program experience or a bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience. Ability to travel to conduct on-site visits to early childhood programs – valid Driver's License.
