Under limited supervision, the Pyramid Model Program Coach will support child care programs to implement the Pyramid Model program wide. The Pyramid Model Program coach will recruit child care programs throughout South Carolina to participate in this initiative and provide facilitation and guidance throughout all stages of implementation, to include training and coaching classroom teachers. This position will require frequent travel throughout the state and delivery of services outside of typical business hours (evenings, weekend).
Job responsibilities include:
Collaborate and coordinate with the Pyramid Model State Leadership team and other entities engaged in work to support social and emotional learning across the early childhood mixed delivery system.
Collect and maintain data on all aspects of implementation according to project guidelines for all child care programs on caseload.
Facilitate program-wide implementation of the Pyramid Model in child care programs across the state of South Carolina, providing child care programs with a systemic process for supporting the installment of the Pyramid Model framework and practices to support the inclusion of children with disabilities and children with challenging behavior. Establish a process for recruiting child care programs, supporting implementation in programs recruited, and sustaining use of Pyramid Model practices in child care programs.
Coordinate and collaborate with outside behavior consultants to support child care programs in providing Tier 3 supports for children with persistent challenging behavior.
Provide onsite and/or virtual training and coaching to teachers to implement pyramid model practices in the classroom.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree and 1 years of experience in Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Early Intervention, behavior consultation, or a related field; or bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Early Intervention, or behavior consultation.
