DescriptionStuart House is an internationally recognized model program created by the Rape Treatment Center to serve the special needs of sexually abused children and their families. Stuart House provides evidence-based, trauma informed, and culturally centered therapeutic services.
As a Stuart House therapist, you will provide mental health services for children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse and their non-offending family members, including intake evaluations, comprehensive diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, and individual, family, and group treatment services. Some clinical supervision and training may be expected. You will also participate in the Rape Treatment Center/Stuart House 24-hour on-call response system, provide on-call telephone intake, in-person advocacy, crisis intervention, accompaniment and information/referral services for victims and significant others who present for emergency medical care/forensic examinations.
Salary range: $48.03- $57.40 Hourly
Qualifications* Requires a Master’s in Social Work and active CaliforniaLCSW license. * Must have experience providing trauma informed psychotherapyservices to children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse and theirfamilies. * Requires advanced knowledge of child development, sexual trauma,complex trauma, evidence-based treatment modalities, and solid diagnostic andcrisis intervention skills. * Experience supervising and/or training studentspreferred. * Must be able to function collaboratively as a team member and establisheffective communication with clients and staff. * Bilingual (Spanish-English) isstrongly preferred.
