POSITION: Early Childhood Specialist - Part-time (24 hours per week) Includes evening and weekend hours (Saturday/Sunday)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Extensive programming for children ages birth to five, parents and caregivers; outreach activities; some reference and readers’ advisory; some collection development. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in child development or Bachelor’s degreein education with emphasis on early childhood; 1-2 years of experience working with children ages birth to five years old, preferably in an educational or library setting; experience and expertise in programming, especially for parents, caregivers and children from birth to five; strong interpersonal skills.
