Manhattan Country School seeks a full-time Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager reports to the Director of Operations and Finance and is responsible for a range of activities that supports the School’s Finance efforts. This dynamic position requires the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the school and vendors outside of school.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the following scope of work:
At least five(5) years of experience in a financial/accounting environment
Process Payroll, Benefits and Local 2110 Union dues
Expense recording, reporting and monthly reconciliation; prepare monthly YTD budget
Tuition oversight: partner with Admissions dept on Family Financial Planning Worksheets (FFWs) and Enrollment contracts
Handle vendor invoices, i.e. intake, recording and payment as well as set up of priority pay schedule
Generate P&L statements
Handle End of Month reconciliation between MCS’ bank, Quickbooks(QB) and P&L Statements
Audit processing
Conduct monthly funds transfer to TIAA for benefits
Collaborate with Director of Finance on annual budget
Partner with HR Manager on coordination, acceptance and processing of employee timesheets
Other responsibilities that may be deemed necessary under the auspices of the Finance and Accountability
Qualifications:
At least five(5) years of experience in a financial/accounting environment
Strong ability to execute work and personal interactions through a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to conduct sensitive conversations about tuition, payments, and finances.
Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
Proactive team player
High degree of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with diverse groups of people, ranging from families to colleagues to vendors and governmental agencies.
Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
High level experience with Accounting Software Platforms such as Quickbooks, Stripe, etc.
Experience with Blackbaud Operating System Software.
