We are seeking a dynamic teacher who is forward-thinking, innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic in their approach to their classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an integration of emerging technologies, diverse teaching strategies, and varied modes of assessment focused on learning outcomes around creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.
Teach approximately two sections of 7th-8th grade
Serve as an involved and committed member of the faculty
Actively pursue and participate in professional development opportunities to further our school mission
Collaborate with colleagues in developing new curricular initiatives
Enact and implement diverse teaching strategies and modes of assessment
Model a growth mindset in all aspects of professional endeavors
A master’s degree (or significant work toward one) and recent teaching experience are preferred
Understanding of child development and educational needs for students in 5th-8th grade
Flexibility in response to the changing needs of a dynamic learning community
Strong organizational and communication skills
Physically able to perform essential functions in a variety of settings
Ability to use a variety of technology to facilitate communication and documentation
