The Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a lecturer with the experience to be able to teach undergraduate courses in Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. Successful candidates will receive two-year initial, full-time, 12-month appointments (with the possibility of a one-year renewal) to teach courses in the Department of Psychology. Lecturers will teach five courses total during the fall and spring semesters as well as one summer course (no more than three courses in a semester with a high likelihood of two of them being sections of the same course). Lecturers will be expected to cover a range of classes within their areas of knowledge; department course needs include Cognitive Psychology, Child Development, Cognitive Neuroscience, Research Methods in areas such as Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or Developmental. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience teaching undergraduates as part of their PhD program or in other academic appointments.
