Montverde Academy seeks a French teacher who develops students to be competent and proficient language and culture learners. The candidate will be teaching beginning Middle School French, Upper School French I, and Social Studies courses related to culture and history of French-speaking countries. The ideal candidate is willing to teach all levels of French including AP courses in language/literature if needed. This position requires maintaining a full teaching load and serving as an advisor to ten to twelve students.
Montverde Academy seeks an engaging teacher who inspires students to learn French and who works collaboratively with colleagues in various curricular areas and divisions. Candidates should be comfortable teaching beginners, native/heritage speakers, and advanced language students. Candidates should be familiar with the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) and implement these standards into their instruction and assessments. The candidate will also be willing to teach a Social Studies elective in French History and Culture and/or relevant elective courses.
