FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Department of Secondary Education and Youth Services at Queens College, CUNY solicits resumes to be added to its pool of potential adjunct instructors and student teacher supervisors. Typically, adjunct positions are available for courses in Foundations of Education, Educational Psychology/Child Development, Literacy Studies, Social Studies, English Education and others. Most courses meet once weekly on weekday mornings, afternoons or evenings. Student teacher supervision takes place in New York City school classrooms. Retired educators and doctoral students with daytime availability are especially encouraged to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor: Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.
For Adjunct Lecturer: Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
Preferred qualification sought include:
?? Minimum of a Master???s Degree in Education or related field for Adjunct Lecturer;
?? Previous experience in 7-12 or equivalent;
?? Strong oral and written communication skills in English; and
?? College-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Adjunct lecturer: $91.67-$98.40
Adjunct assistant professor: $100-$106.41
Adjunct associate professor: $108.33-$118.45
Adjunct professor: $112.50-$130-.49
