Performs a variety of tasks as a school-based professional development leader specifically for increasing student achievement. Assists teachers and administrators in the curriculum, instruction, assessment, and organizational goals of the school and district by providing collaboration, consulting, and coaching services in an assigned school. Acts as a key member of the school's instructional leadership team and working directly with the principal provides overall professional development to teachers through demonstration lessons, model lessons, workshops, and during planning time for instruction with the direct goal/outcome being increasing student achievement. Position reports to the school principal.

Aggie Academy is a NC A&T Laboratory School established under the North Carolina General Statute Chapter 116, Article 29A (116-239.5), to improve student performance by providing an enhanced education program for students residing in low performing schools. The mission of Aggie Academy is to provide students a culturally responsive and sustaining integrated STEAM Education experience to improve student achievement and develop critical and creative thinking skills. Aggie Academy will serve up to 100 students, with a teacher-student ratio of 1:15 for grade 3 or 1:20 for grades 4-5, and provide students and families a spectrum of support services to comprehensively address academic, social-emotional, physical needs. Aggie Academy involves an integrated partnership with Guilford County Schools and NC A&T and will be housed off campus in a facility within the district boundaries. Cross campus collaborations and the integration of educator and leader preparation, through a practice-based teacher education model (PBTE) provide opportunities for strengthening 3rd -5th grade students' success and educator and leader preparation.

Bachelors Degree and certification in education with extensive and successful work in literacy and math. At least 5-7 years of experience in classroom instruction with evidence of exemplary practice in curriculum, instruction, and organization and/or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
