Summary Description:
Green Acres School seeks a full-time Pre-K-8th Curriculum Coordinator and Director of Professional Development to provide administrative support to the Head of School, the Division Heads, and school teaching staff. They will also manage the staff’s professional development and new staff mentoring program.
Areas of Responsibility include:
- Collaborate with teachers on completing their UbD curriculum maps using the Atlas Rubicon software tool.
- Develop and manage a vertical and horizontal curricular review, analysis, and articulation of each subject area, K-8, involving teachers and Division Heads.
- Organize, share, and keep updated the school’s curriculum on the Green Acres web site.
- Match teachers and staff members to appropriate professional development opportunities to ensure professional growth and use of best practices.
- Implement the new staff orientation and mentoring programs in collaboration with the Division Heads. Ensure that these programs place a strong focus on progressive education and its impact on teaching and learning.
- Lead and seek speakers for monthly staff mentoring meetings with new staff members.
- Collaborate with the Division Heads and Head of School to create, maintain, and communicate the Wednesday staff meeting schedule.
- Coordinate with the Division Heads to plan professional development days.

Required skills and qualities:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s in education field preferred

Desirable qualifications:
