Currently seeking a College/School Counselor to promote and support the mental and physical health of the student community. Additionally, advise students concerning their academic plans and progress, academic schedule, choice of major, and other academic activities and career goals, to assist the student in making decisions concerning personal educational goals leading to graduation. Candidates should minimally have a minimum of a Master’s Degree (Doctorate preferred) and should have experience working with adolescents in an educational environment. Familiarity with a wide range of learning styles and knowledge of IEPs is a plus.
We are seeking an energetic and highly organized individual whose duties would include:

Support faculty in their roles as advisors and teachers;
- Advise students with their academic plans and assist with decisions concerning educational goals including college selection process.

Working with faculty members as a trainer and providing advice about students of concern;

Counseling and crisis management with students, faculty, and families about psychological and emotional issues;

Meet with parents and participate in parent conferences as needed;

Meet regularly with the senior administrative team to discuss students of concern

Maintain a current and accurate referral database of mental health service providers; connect parents with outside therapeutic referrals as needed; and coordinate with outside providers working with students;
- Provide parental support and guidance related to child development as needed, especially around adolescent issues;

Possibility of teaching one or more additional electives.
