Position Overview
Two, (75% FTE, approximately 30 hours/week) positions are open in the Institute on Community Integration’s (ICI) TeleOutreach Program. The TeleOutreach Center leverages technology and innovation to increase our reach and build new capacity for serving significantly, more people with neurodevelopmental disabilities in Minnesota. Primary duties of this posted position will involve outreach, community and stakeholder engagement, and delivery of intervention through research, training, and technical assistance to expand the reach and impact in the core areas of focus for the TeleOutreach Program.
A successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the understanding of diversity and inclusion and cultural competence with working with diverse and sometimes marginalized populations.The individual who fills this position also will be expected to work collaboratively across teams of people, disciplines, and departments at the University, including clinical, research, training, and technical assistance-related activities. This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical, Training, and Technical-Assistance, and Research Related Intervention Responsibilities (50% time)
- Develop protocols for intervention activities and supervise project teams in the implementation of activities, ensuring a high and consistent level of fidelity and competency is met.
- Engage in direct implementation of intervention activities with children, families, provider organizations, and community stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor effective education, training and technical assistance processes related to early or school age intervention.
- Supporting oversight of the work of professional staff, fellows, and students in relation to specific project activities, including management of lab.
- Develop and manage work plans, timelines, and resources to meet project goals.
- Plan and conduct events (teleconferences, webinars, meetings, etc.) for diverse audiences including state and federal department of education staff, educators, parents, and researchers.
- Organize, analyze, and provide timely reporting on project to funding agencies and for related needs.
- Ensure project trainers, interventionists, and other staff develop and maintain databases for the multiple projects within the TeleOutreach Project, including requirements for privacy and confidentiality.
- Train interventionists in project-related activities. Design, implement and manage projects, including the management of project activities independently, the development and management of work plans, timelines, and resources to meet project goals.
- Develop sustainable networks to increase access to intervention pathways for children, adolescents, and families across regions of the State.
Outreach Development (25% time)
- Work with Project Primary Investigator (PI) to develop and implement a multi-year plan for outreach activities related to research, training, and technical assistance pathways to expand the reach of intervention for children with or at risk for neurodevelopmental disabilities in Minnesota.
- Engage in state initiatives and networks for expansion and outreach across Minnesota.
- Work with local and extension stakeholders, university project PI, staff, faculty, and students to strategically engage in outreach and expansion activities related to TeleOutreach and utilization of existing resources and partnerships across regions in Minnesota.
- Pursue opportunities that attract funding for TeleOutreach by facilitating connections, building partnerships between community stakeholders and the university TeleOutreach team, communicating and promoting the program’s capabilities.
- Foster and develop teamwork that builds a sustainable partnership between the program, participants, and communities.
- Engage in development activities, coordination, and the provision of training and technical assistance for future project sites.
- Travel to and engage with future and current project sites and teams.
- Interact with national and local/state leadership personnel and advisory boards related to project activities and outcomes.
Operational and Project Coordination Responsibilities (25% time)
- Manage coordination of research, training, or technical assistance projects, including the ability to organize information, coordinate team members, meeting project aims in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements for research projects.
- Assist the project principal investigator (PI) with funding-management activities, including documentation, data collection, reporting requirements, and achieving project-related goals in a timely manner.
- Plan and conduct events (teleconferences, webinars, meetings, etc.) for diverse audiences including state and federal department of education staff, educators, parents, and researchers.
- Organize, convene, and participate in meetings and conferences, communities of practice, and advisory panels where research and policy findings are disseminated, and information gathered for future research and technical assistance.
- Summarize and review project data to inform project decisions, research, training, and technical assistance dissemination.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in education, educational psychology, special education, child development, psychology, social work, public health, curriculum and instruction or related field and four years of professional experience or an advanced degree with two years of professional experience.
- Ability to travel within Minnesota and nationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of clinical or educational experience related to early and/or school-aged intervention with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
- 6-8 years of experience in disability or behavioral health field in delivering intervention to children or youth.
- Credentials or certifications achieved related to early or school-aged intervention (e.g., Behavior Analyst, Registered Behavior Technician, Speech Language Pathologist, etc.)
- Experience collaborating with and meeting the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse children, families, and communities.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the work of multiple organizations and individuals to work toward the achievement of common goals.
- Experience with State systems and intervention pathways for children with or at higher likelihood for neurodevelopmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs.
- Experience with data collection systems, systematic assessments.
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish, Hmong, or Somali.
