UT Health San Antonio, Departments of Pediatrics, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is seeking a faculty member that is board certified/board eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. UTHealth SA, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track Assistant Professor. The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover, and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other service.
Within the Department of Pediatrics, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics is focused on leading in clinical and research programs in child development, neurodevelopment, child learning and learning disabilities, and public policy. The principal clinic works to provide a comprehensive assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of developmental and learning problems. At UT Health, you will be working within a diverse and comprehensive faculty team.
In addition to the rich work environment, clinical faculty have diverse interests and expertise within their respective specialties, including:
Autism spectrum disorders
Developmental and behavioral disorders
Traumatic brain injury
The Assistant Professor in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics will provide direct patient care and will participate actively in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and other trainees.
Qualifications: The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License and will be board- eligible/certified as a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician.
