Peoria Academy, an independent, coeducational, progressive PK-8 school founded in 2000 in Peoria Illinois, seeks an Elementary Teacher to join our community beginning in January.
Peoria Academy has entered into candidacy to become an International Baccalaureate World School, and will be implementing the Primary Years Programme in PK-5 and the Middle Years Programme in grades 6-8. The Elementary Teacher will be an essential member of our IB Primary Years Programme faculty, delivering engaging lessons to an elementary homeroom.

The Elementary Teacher will take over a small homeroom class of bright, motivated students. The homeroom includes instruction in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies as well as interdisciplinary investigations taught through the lens of the Primary Year Programme framework. Outside of the homeroom, students have classes in music, visual arts, physical and health education, and Spanish.
