Drake University Head Start is seeking a professional candidate to serve as a Teacher Associate in a Des Moines metro location. This position will assist the teacher adn child in daily activities in the classroom. This individual will participate in the development, implementaion, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate practice. This position consists of light cooking, assisting the teacher, and working directly with the children. Some time spent completing required paperwork. A Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or enrollment in a CDA program with ability to obtain certification within two years of hire required. High School Diploma or GED required. Head Start experience preferred. Current driver's license and ability to be insured by the University's insurance carrier required.
