The Data Systems Analyst I (DSA I) will join a devoted and enthusiastic team of scientists, working in an internationally recognized team to evaluate environmental exposures during pregnancy and effects on child development. Working as a member of the data management team, the DSA I will assist in the collection and management of data from a variety of research studies and data sources. While much of our data is collected via REDCap electronic surveys, we also have paper surveys, biological samples (hair, fingernails, blood, and urine) and cognitive development data collected via specialized software.
This position will involve basic data management tasks such as developing data error and logic checks to verify accuracy and consistency of data, identifying missing data, and collaborating with research team to clean data and address data quality issues. Other tasks will include assisting in the maintenance of study tracking databases, REDCap data collection forms, SAS analytical datasets, calculated fields, reports and spreadsheets, and dataset documentation. In addition, the DSA I will assist in the mapping of data from various sources and the creation of data files that will be uploaded to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) central study website.
