The Psychologist is a full-time position responsible for direct patient care in the NEST Center. Psychologist administers, scores, and interprets psychological testing with patients (ages 0-5 years). Provides counseling for but not limited to test results and other factors that may influence the development of pediatric patient age 0-5. Opportunity to participate in developmental outcomes research for the NICU graduate patient population. Willingness to undergo training and certification on any new developmental, behavioral, or psychological assessment tools for future implementation.
Education & Experience
Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
Texas license as a Psychologist.
Training in child growth and development required.
Prior experience in pediatric setting, strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrates commitment to high standards of patient care and other customer relations practices.
Must be certified to conduct the Bayley Scales of Infant Development III and will be required to certify as new versions of Bayley Scales of Infant development are published.
Experience/comfortable performing other standardized developmental and behavioral testing from infancy through 5 years of age.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Maintains a current, valid Texas State License to practice psychology as a Licensed Psychologist
