Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a BE/BC, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician for the Institute for Child Development at the JMS Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center. Located in New Jersey just 8 miles west of Manhattan the area offers excellent schools and easy access to New York City. Hackensack University Medical Center was listed as one of the top two hospitals in New Jersey in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018-19 Best Hospital rankings. It was also named one of the top five New York Metro Area hospitals.
The Institute for Child Development (ICD) has gained a national and international reputation for providing superior diagnostic and treatment services to children with special needs. Its mission is to help children with neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders and complex medical needs achieve their maximum potential while providing guidance and support to their families, as well as education and community outreach. The multidisciplinary team at the ICD includes developmental behavioral pediatricians, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.
Provide diagnostic and treatment services utilizing a family-centered approach
Full Time and Part Time positions available
Lead specialty clinics (such as Autism, Down syndrome, NICU Follow Up)
Teach medical students and residents on clinical rotations
Collaborate with JMS Children’s Hospital team on special projects, including but not limited to program development, research and quality improvement
Be part of a collegial team to build and grow Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and the Institute for Child Development
