The Waldorf School of Garden City is seeking applicants for a full-time Assisting Teacher position in our Early Childhood program.
Beginning in August 2021, the Assisting Teacher works under the direction of the Lead Teacher, and the hours are approximately 7:45 am – 3:30 pm daily. This salaried position offers full benefits, including tuition remission. Full-time responsibilities include work in the Afternoon Care Program, attending weekly section meetings, festival life, and more. Preferred applicants will have completed or are in the process of obtaining a WECTE certificate. While not a requirement, previous Waldorf teaching experience is a plus.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a well-established Early Childhood Program, including our two Nurseries, two Mixed-Age Kindergartens, an Afternoon Care Program, and over 12 Parent & Child classes including Simplicity Parenting and the Soul of Discipline. Assisting teachers are mentored and professional development opportunities are supported.
