Roland Park Country School (RPCS) helps students develop a profound understanding of who they are and how to lead together to impact the world. RPCS has a teaching and leadership opportunity in its Little Red, Early Years Preschool Program (Infants 6 weeks to 4 years old). We seek an enthusiastic and compassionate lead teacher to serve as our next Early Years Coordinator (EYC). The EYC will collaborate closely with the teaching team, manage compliance, and take responsibility for the social, emotional and cognitive development of our children in Little Reds. The EYC reports directly to the Lower School Division Head and partners with other lead teachers and department heads to ensure the school philosophy and core values shape our children’s learning experience. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of the infant, toddler and preschool rooms, assuring the safety and well-being of all the children, hiring and mentoring highly qualified educators, managing all admissions and retention efforts (giving tours, managing waitlist and enrollment rosters, and more), events (open houses, new parent orientations, lunch and learn information sessions, and more), and strategy, and serving as the primary point of contact for current and prospective families. The EYC will collaborate closely with the Director of Enrollment Management in all admissions and retention related activities, processes, and results. The EYC will ensure that the program meets and maintains all governmental requirements and education standards for day care licensing. The EYC is a life-long learner committed to professional development and stays abreast of current research in early years education and wellness. S/He strives to be the most conscientious educator and effective lead they can be.
