The 5th-grade teacher will have the opportunity to be involved in developing our approach to curriculum and instruction during an exciting and dynamic time in Peoria Academy’s history.
Peoria is a vibrant, small city in central Illinois. Located about 2.5 hours from Chicago, Peoria is home to Caterpillar, the University of Illinois Medical School, and Bradley University. Offering a family-friendly lifestyle and low cost of living, Peoria is a great place to raise a family and make a home. Peoria Academy’s students join us from many towns and cities in the Peoria region and represent remarkable domestic and international diversity, with 13 different languages spoken in our students’ homes.

In addition to teaching duties, faculty are expected to participate in the life of an independent school, exhibit a growth mindset, actively seek to collaborate, integrate technology into instruction, and serve as positive ambassadors for Peoria Academy and its students.
Candidates should be comfortable teaching and integrating English language arts, social studies, natural sciences, and mathematics.
