The Training and Development Director I / Dual Language Learner (DLL) Quality Coach functions as a part of the South Carolina Child Care & Resource Referral (SC CCR&R) team of statewide Training & Development Directors (Quality Coaches) that provides technical assistance to parents, early childhood programs, and community partners as it relates to all the core components of the Department of Social Services, Division of Early Care and Education grant requirements. The DLL Quality Coach will focus on increasing access to high quality child care opportunities for children and families whose first language is not English and providing professional development services for early childhood educators whose first language is Spanish and/or have dual language learners in their classroom. This position is primarily home-based. For this position, the applicant must be fluent in Spanish and English and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form. The applicant must obtain two approvals, both from SC Endeavors, within 12 months of employment: (1) Approval as a South Carolina Certified Trainer (2) Approval as a South Carolina Certified Technical Assistance Provider.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree in Education and 1 year training and development experience, or bachelor's degree in Education and 3 years training, teaching, and/or development experience. Must also be bilingual in English and Spanish and be proficient in the ability to speak, read, and write both languages.
