Having started as a 501c3 charitable organization supporting at-risk children, C4D Kidz has now expanded to encapsulate numerous programs designed to support children and families from toddlers through high school. At C4D Kidz, we commit to providing the social and academic tools children of all ages need to go forth and succeed. Recognizing the key role that families play in a child’s life, we work to partner with the families in our community, together creating the village it takes to support a child.
Our new Program Director (Director) will be responsible for managing all aspects of C4D Kidz’s Child Development Center including building and supporting a strong team, implementing high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum, building relationships with members of the C4D Kidz community, and living the vision of our program on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide strong, empathetic leadership and management that aligns with the C4D Kidz vision on a daily basis • Recruit, hire and direct high-quality early childhood educators • Provide empathetic and informed support, high quality professional development, regular observations and staff evaluations • Establish strong relationships with children, families and staff • Implement high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum • Strategically map-out program timelines, schedules & curriculum within the parameters set by C4DKidz leadership, and ensure successful implementation • Create innovative plans and processes to improve program functions • Provide regular communication to families • Determine materials needed to implement curriculum and manage purchasing • Manage registration of students / campers as well as all paperwork related to children and staff • Ensure safety and licensing protocols are followed at all times • Collaborate with C4D Kidz leadership on a regular basis • Suggest and help create marketing initiatives to increase awareness of our program • Work with our Director of Operations to ensure budgetary goals are met • Provide regular reports to the Executive Director and the Director of Operations
The successful candidate will: • Have extensive knowledge of best practices in early childhood education • Be charismatic and a master collaborator • Be highly organized / detail-oriented and also able to go with the flow when appropriate • Have excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills • Have 2+ years’ experience teaching in an early childhood classroom and 2+ years’ experience managing a successful early childhood team • Have a current Delaware First Certificate • Be at least 21 years old • Successfully complete background checks and fingerprinting • Have or obtain CPR and First Aid certification
All members of C4DKidz staff are Mandated Reporters. The successful candidate must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse prior to start date.
