Statistical Programmer US-NJ-Princeton Job ID: 2021-12459 Type: Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Research and Laboratory Princeton University Overview The Department of Psychology at Princeton University is seeking a Statistical Programmer in the Human Diversity lab, under the supervision of Dr. Kristina Olson. The Statistical Programmer will work with our team on a large scale, longitudinal study of transgender youth and several smaller studies on early social cognition. Responsibilities The Statistical Programmer will oversee data analysis, data management, and archiving for studies on the development of sex and gender diversity. They will also help with problem-solving study design and data analysis issues in the lab. In addition, the person in this role will organize workshops for the lab group and affiliates on open science, reproducibility, R (especially tidyverse), and longitudinal data analysis. The successful candidate will be involved in preparing data for grant applications and publications, on which the candidate will be able to serve as a collaborator and/or co-author. Opportunities for developing additional statistical and professional skills as well as networking with other Princeton data scientists and programmers will be available. This position is ideal for a candidate interested in using their statistical programming skills in a socially meaningful way. Long-term remote work may be possible.
