Fall 2021 Preschool Lead Teacher
12 month full-time position, M-F 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
Model and instill a love of learning
Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children’s learning and growth
Observe, evaluate and monitor student performance in all areas of development: Social Emotional, Language and Literacy, Logical Mathematical, and Physical
Design and implement appropriate instruction in line with the school standards, curriculum, and student needs
Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in an atmosphere of respect and rapport
Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding, and respect
Manage student behavior in the classroom by utilizing effective classroom management strategies
minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field
at least three years of teaching in an early childhood environment
excellent understanding of the social, emotional, and academic needs of preschool age children and how to provide for them
the ability to differentiate a rich, varied, and developmentally appropriate curriculum based on best practices and current research
a commitment to work collaboratively and innovatively with colleagues
ability to communicate respectfully, proactively, and honestly both verbally and in writing with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding curriculum, students, and child development issues
