Job Summary:

The TECTA Logistics/Family Child Care Information Research Tech 2 responsibilities include:

• Enter and maintain program data and documentation.
• Collaborate with TOPSTAR advisors, local early care and education programs, professional organizations, 60% community agencies, businesses, industries, and families in our service area to ensure that training and education needs of state-regulated family/ group home programs in our area are fully met.
• Provide leadership and support to family and group childcare providers, family/ group home childcare organizations and partner agencies through technical assistance, coaching and committee membership
• Assist in compiling accurate reports in a timely manner.
• Provide logistical support in planning state-wide trainings, conferences, and workshops
• Adapt to changing business needs and work responsibilities.
• Prepare, plan, and co-teach the TECTA FCC Orientation course.
• Participate actively in family child care professional organizations. Become a member of National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC).
• Keep abreast of current literature and research related to child development, the child care field and child care workforce.
• Provide academic consultation to prospective and current TECT A supported students.
• Attend FCC meetings and professional conferences; ability to organize multiple tasks and work schedules.
• Serve as a Professional Development Specialist (PDS) for CDA students.

Required Qualifications:

A.S. or A.A.S in Early Childhood Education or Family/ child related field with 3 yrs. experience working in early care and education directly with children (birth-12 yrs.) and families (relevant part-time and student work experience may be considered).

OR

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Family/ child related field.
